I have a major sweet tooth for anything chocolate, and anything with carbs if we’re being honest. So over the weekend I decided what better way to spend a girl’s night than baking? Today, I’ve got two recipes for you to bake at your next girls night or any other time you’re craving more carbs than your body can handle! Let me present to you “Pinwheel Rice Krispies” and “Slutty Brownies”
I’ve never made either of these recipes until this weekend and I was worried they wouldn’t come out great, but they were amazing! I have no idea how other blogs make their desserts so attractive, but since I have no control about what goes on in my oven, I tried my best!
Pinwheel Rice Krispies
I got this amazing recipe from the MomOnTimeOut blog!
- 10 oz bag of mini marshmallows
- Generous helping of Jet Puff Marshmallow cream OR 5 oz melted marshmallow
- 6 cups of Rice Krispies
- 1 stick of butter
- Parchment paper or foil
- Shallow baking pan
- 6 Hershey’s bars
We started by buttering the parchment paper and then adding 3 tbs of butter to a medium size pot over low heat. After the butter melted (Make sure it does not burn) we added the marshmallows and allowed them to melt. Once the marshmallows became liquid (don’t burn them) we added the Rice Krispies and turned the burner off. We mixed it all together and then evenly distributed it on the pan.
After this you can add a generous helping of marshmallow fluff and spread it out or just melt about 5 oz of mini marshmallows and then pot this on top of your Rice Krispies.
Place the six chocolate bars on top of the marshmallow fluff. If you poured melted marshmallow then this will melt the chocolate, but if you used JetPuff then you will have to put the pan in a 300 degree oven for about 2-3 minutes, then allow to melt.
We let it cool for 30 minutes and then started to roll it. We only had foil so the rolling process was pretty hard! Act as if you’re rolling a burrito and peel away either your foil or parchment paper. After we rolled it we put it in the fridge for about 15 minutes to let it harden and then we cut it into slices and we were done! So yummy!
